Aimee Mullins and her 12 Pairs of Legs

I've written about Aimee Mullins before, here's another great video from TED about her, and her "bag of legs".
I love the discussion about her prosthetics as art (and some great examples), as well as the conversation moving from overcoming impairment, it's about augmentation or enhancement.

Aimee Mullins Running on Prosthetics from TED

I've written about the TED conference before regarding Jill Bolte Taylors speech on witnessing her own stroke. Here's another interesting speech from TED with runner Aimee Mullins. She is a double amputee who ran in college and the paralympics. She talks about her prosthetics and design of the various legs she uses. I love the story of running in the paralympics and her competitors and difficulty getting high heels.
